Rachel and Suhith knew right away where they wanted to have their engagement photos taken! Suthith had proposed to Rachel at Cafe Benelux and they hoped to go back there as a starting place and get professional photos taken of one of their favorite spots. And of course I said YES!

Side note: I almost always ask my couples if there’s somewhere meaningful or sentimental to them where they would like to get photos taken. And if not, I always come in with suggestions of some of my favorite spots, depending on what they’re looking for!

After Benelux, we explored a bit more of the Third Ward together, and they showed me a few more spots where they had some good memories. On a weekend, however, the areas we took photos in tended to be fairly crowded and noisy, and so we headed to Atwater Beach next. On the beach, I noticed Rachel and Suhith relax even more in front of the camera, and it was fun to see them embrace the sometimes goofy and very active prompts I gave them. They were both up for anything and it made our session truly enjoyable!
